This learning activity package, one of six intended for use in Industrial Cooperative Training Programs, is designed to enable students to understand the basic principles of parliamentary procedure and provide help in conducting a typical Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) business meeting. (The industrial cooperative training program provides industrial occupational training experience for high school juniors and seniors who attend school one-half day and receive supervised work experience on the job.) Contents include a list of objectives, pretest, five learning activities, posttest, answer key for learning activities, and pretest and posttest answer key. The learning actlvities, each based on one objective, cover these topics: (1) Terms Used in Parliamentary Procedure, (2) Presiding Over the Meeting, (3) The Motions Used in Parliamentary Procedure, (4) Using Motions to Conduct and Transact Business, and (5) Conducting a Typical VICA Business Meeting. Each follows this format: objective, informative materials, and exercise/activity. (YLB)
