A rationale for including practicum and laboratory experiences within the teacher education program is discussed. The organization of these experiences within the teacher education program, as well as the responsiblities that various faculty perform, is outlined. Finally, the nature of the planned experiences that represent the core of this conceptual model is described. (Author)
