Project IMPACT, an Overview on Preservice and Inservice Teachers and Administrators.

The major and current findings of Project IMPACT are summarized in this report on the status of metric education at the elementary, secondary, inservice teacher, and preservice teacher levels. Each of the following major components in metric education are discussed: metric knowledge, measurement skill, estimation skill, attitudes toward changeover, curriculum development, instructional strategies and materials, and monitoring the move to metrics in departments of education.
