Malcolm Cooper reports on "The University of Malaya English for Special Purposes Project" using cognitive and specialized reading strategies data, and Neil Mortimer reviews syllabus design techniques in "E. Elton and Gaye Manwaring in "Towards a Staff Development Programme in South East Asia," community perceptions of higher education are documented by Maev O'Collins in "What is Happening to My People? Community Research by Students at the University of Papua New Guinea," and the social implications of Japanese textbook censorship are assessed by Glenn D. Hook in "Institutionalized Censorship: The Ideological Control of Post-War Japanese Education." Finally, R. J. P. Scott describes "A Computer Installation in a University in a Developing Country" (Zambia), T. G.
