Secondary French Guidelines: Levels I, II, III.

This publication sets out objectives for the development of the four language skills--listening, speaking, reading and writing--and for an understanding of the culture of French, Levels I, II, and III. A level of language learning is defined in terms of student performance rather than a period of time. The intention of the guidelines is to help schools in developing their own curriculum guides and to assist teachers in planning courses, units of work, and daily classroom activities. The guide describes learning objectives, learning activities, and evaluation activities for each of the four skills according to level. The culture section deals with the three levels in general and contains some indications for French-American studies. A suggested inventory of structural items for Levels I-III concludes the guide.
