Achievement test results, together with other relevant information, are recorded for all of the schools in the Austin (Texas) Independent School District. The data are presented in terms of medians and first and third quartiles for all schools combined and for each school separately. Volumes I and II present the data for elementary and sixth grade schools alphabetically: volume I for Allan through Lee and volume II for Linder through Zilker. Volume III presents the data for junior high schools and volume IV for senior high schools. The California Achievement Tests (CAT) were used for elementary schools and junior high schools while the Sequential Tests of Educational Progress (STEP) were used for the high schools. Data are presented separately by school year for five years beginning with 1974-75. The school characteristics data include: number of students enrolled, percent attendance, pupil-teacher ratio, percentage of low-income students, ethnic distribution (Mexican-American, Black, or Anglo), and major special programs.
