Described are the results of a study in which the purposes were to: (1) develop a structure for teaching science utilizing a variety of techniques; (2) measure the performance resulting from the techniques; and (3) develop and evaluate an instrument using a specific technique for isolating other variables. The study allowed the students to select and utilize strategies suitable to their learning styles and the nonverbal instruments allowed for cultural freedom, and significant achievement. (Author/SA)
