Olson, Lucy
Recent literature on the topic of pregnancy resolution among unmarried adolescent women investigates differences between women choosing abortions and those not so choosing, and is organized into studies dealing with social correlates of pregnancy resolution and research centering on psychological variables. The social correlate studies address areas which include the following: social and interpersonal milieu, socioeconomic factors, race, age, family structure, and religious and moral outlook. Issues addressed by the psychological variable studies include attitudes, beliefs, intentions, self-image, personality, and decision-making. An extension reference section is provided. (Author/HLM)
