Comparative Study of the Perceptions of Elementary Principals and Teachers Regarding Needs for Teachers' Skill Development; Implications for Inservice Education.
The perceptions of elementary classroom teachers and principals regarding the need for inservice education to aid teachers in fulfilling their roles are examined. The study determines whether teachers' and administrators' perceptions of need for the inservice education of teachers fall along predetermined categories, and it identifies areas of mutual need perception. The study also serves as a framework of understanding to enable better administrative planning of teacher inservice programs. (Author)
