Among the issues addressed are: (1) an increasing emphasis on the evaluation of students and programs; (2) demands for accountability; (3) changing working relationships with teachers and administrators; (4) emphasis on public relations; (5) concerns of safety and liability; and (6) need for flexibility by the science supervisor in the face of rapid change in science education.
