Technical Problems of Cooperative Acquisitions Programs between Institutions of Higher Education.
Moran, M.
Issues and factors involved in four types of cooperative acquisitions agreements are discussed--general agreements to collect certain classes of material, agreements to purchase specific titles, agreements to cooperate on expensive items, and joint acquisitions. It is argued that the more specific the agreement, the more difficult are the technical problems to be solved before making the agreement: nine such problems are summarized in the conclusions. (JEG)
