State of Wisconsin Annual Evaluation Report; E.S.E.A. Title I Programs for Neglected and Delinquent Children. Fiscal Year 1977.

This report covers Title I programs operated from July 1976 through August 1977 and includes a description of the evaluation methods used, descriptions of the programs and the primary instructional services offered, and evaluations of individual programs. Emphasis is placed on the impact project participation had on the academic achievement and/or behavior of the students served. Taken into consideration are student characteristics such as age level, previous educational experience, ethnic membership, and length of project participation. Tables and graphs illustrate comparative and evaluative findings. Data indicate that remedial tutorial reading programs were more successful than remedial tutorial mathematics and perceptual motor training programs. Appendices include samples of forms used in the programs and in the program evaluations and a brief historical outline of Title I program development in Wisconsin. (EB)
