This booklet presents laws and court cases concerning discrimination in hiring. It begins with a presentation of the laws and orders regulating equal employment opportunity and the remedies available. It lists those employees and employers to whom the laws apply and exemptions. Sections deal with discrimination on the basis of race, sex, sexual preference, religion, national origin, age, and handicap. Retaliation is touched on. Other sections deal with reverse discrimination, the Equal Pay Act, discrimination by labor unions and employment agencies, executive orders on affirmative action, and federal discrimination laws.
