This module lists eight staff development objectives pertaining to various aspects of Greek-American culture. Topics dealt with include Greek emigration and immigration, Greek vocabulary, contributions made by prominent Greek-Americans, Greek family life and the changing role of family members, Greek values, and the growth of Atlanta's Greek community. Activities and materials that might be used in helping staff become more familiar with Greek-American culture through each of the objectives are outlined. The appendix provides sample handouts. Included are a map of Greece, a Greek etymology exercise, a form to be used for listing well-known Greeks, Greek skits, and a Greek nonverbal communication exercise. A narrative for a slide presentation on Greeks in America is also included. (EB)
