State-Of-The-Art of Academic Library Instruction. 1977 Update.
Association of Coll. and Research Libraries, Chicago, IL.
These ten papers comprise the 1977 update on the state-of-the-art of academic library instruction. Two surveys examine printed self-guided library tours and conducted tours, while a third reports on non-formalized, point-of-use library instruction. Other papers review survey responses to questionnaires dealing with cassette tape use, transparency use, and computer-assisted instruction. Surveys also gathered data on the use of general library skills credit courses, upper-level subject-related credit courses, term paper clinics and consultations, and library school courses on instruction. Some statistical information and sample questionnaires for the surveys are included. (CWM)
