Ideas for Classroom Activities in Career Education.
McCall, Jesse A., Jr.
One hundred and nine suggestions for classroom activities are presented in this booklet. The suggestions are listed in paragraphs generally two to three sentences long. Two example suggestions are the following: (1) demonstrate details of various jobs by having students answer riddles describing characteristics of specific jobs they have studied; have students make up their own riddles for the following day; and (2) ask students who have part-time jobs to address the class concerning their job experiences and emphasize such things as responsibilities, problems, and values imparted by the work; encourage discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of part-time work in high school as an aid to making career decisions.
