An Assessment of Emergency School Aid Act (ESAA) Program Operations. Volume II Appendix: Case Study Summaries.

Descriptive summaries of twenty-two rural and urban school systems throughout the United States are presented in this report. Data for each summary include: (1) an introduction which describes the school's student population, the school's desegregation strategy (court ordered or voluntary), grants received by the school, and problem areas focused on by the school to meet specific student needs; (2) an overview of the school's desegregation history at different educational levels; (3) an outline of minority and non-minority needs in meeting the problems of desegregated schools; (4) a description of basic ESAA projects and other Federal programs implemented at the particular school; and (5) evaluative observations made at the school. Tables and graphs provide statistical data for each of the summaries. (Author/EB)
