Conservation District Guide for Education Programs.

This guide is intended for the use of conservation districts in planning and implementing a coordinated program of environmental education. Much of the material in the guide came from discussions among conservation district board members, state conservation personnel, and state education specialists. The guide uses a step-by-step approach covering main topics which include: (1) the rationale for environmental education as part of the conservation district program; (2)responsibilities of the conservation district board; (3) initial tasks of an education committee; (4) preparation of the environmental education program; (5) implementation of a successful environmental education program; and (6) 14 appendices containing resources and practical ideas.
