Precision Teaching Project - A Program Description. The Sacajawea Plan.
The booklet describes a precision teaching program for the remediation of children with learning deficits in grades K-12 which enables the teacher to use an accurate means of describing and measuring performance on a direct and daily basis and provides a behavioral formula for programing and analyzing social and academic behavior, interpreting charted records, and making data decisions. The author recounts the history of precision teaching and presents a model, which includes the following components: screening and identification, remediation, direct and daily measurement, data decisions, and research. Provisions for both on-site and off-site training are discussed. Sample remediation exercises are appended. (PHR)
