Handbook of Program Evaluation Studies. Michigan Studies in Rehabilitation, Utilization Series Number 1.
Miller, Juliet V.; Wargel, James F.
This collection of program evaluation studies is designed to help program evaluation staff in state agencies improve their current program education strategies. It alerts staff members to procedures being used in other state agencies, as well as provides further information about the current status of state rehabilitation agency program evaluation. The materials reviewed consist of the following: (1) input studies which measure and estimate the target population, plan for service delivery, and clarify components of the referral process; (2) process studies which review data systems, case review procedures, factors of manageable caseloads, monitoring techniques, service timeliness, and miscellaneous service delivery components; and (3) outcome studies which present cost and client characteristics, retention of benefits, client satisfaction, reasons for failure, and evaluation of special programs. Indexes are included to facilitate the finding of studies related to a particular area of interest. (Author/HLM)
