A Time for New Directions: Four School and Community Case Studies.

Four programs focusing on the school-community relationship and cooperation are described. The first illustrates how a building program was initiated in a Lutheran school in south Australia. The second focuses on the nature of parent involvement in a New South Wales high school and needed changes. The third program sought to guage parent opinion of school policy, curriculum, and environment and to increase involvement. The fourth program describes parent involvement in a small innovative community school and the extensive use of community resources to deal with problems. (DS)
