Mathematical Problem Solving Project - Organizing Lists.

This teacher's guide contains instructional material for use in a module designed to help students learn to use a list as one way to organize information. Detailed teaching procedures are given for each of eight lessons as well as objectives, student pages and transparencies. An answer key is provided. The lessons address the following goals: (1) reading and organizing lists; (2) making headings and entries for lists; (3) solving problems where the list is the solution and problems where the solution is contained in the list; (4) performing calculations on list entries to solve; (5) solving problems when the list suggests relationships that help solution; and (6) solving problems using three diagrams.
