This is the teacher's guide for a BSCS energy education module designed for high school, college, or adult students. The module activities provide opportunities for students to acquire accurate information about energy, to identify and analyze their own attitudes and those of others, and to consider questions and concerns about energy related issues. Contents include: (1) Project History; (2) Rationale and Objectives; (3) Curriculum Components; (4) Administrative Arrangements; (5) Evaluation and Grading; (6) Facilitating Small and Large Group Discussions; (7) Instructional Strategies; and (8) Some Potential Problems and Solutions. Structured lesson plans are given for each day in the Instructional Strategies section. These lesson plans, which correspond to materials in the student handbook, include: (1) expected outcomes for each step in the lesson plan; (2) enabling objective; (3) activity type; (4) purpose/rationale; and of course (5) the steps or segments of the days' instructional strategy. Instructor's commentary is also provided in bold type where needed. Worksheets and an attitude survey are included for photocopying. (MR)
