The second of three papers on underachievement reports on identification and treatment of 65 underachievers (9-18 years old). Data is presented on social and economic background, and gains in academic achievement and I.Q. after intervention (behavior therapy, psychotherapy, and eclectic therapy). Five-to-ten-year followup results are said to indicate continuing trends toward higher achievement. (CL)
