Primary Students' Attitudes Towards Science. Paper Presented at the Annual Meeting of the National Science Teachers Association (Cincinnati, Ohio, March 27, 1977).
Hofman, Helenmarie Herbert
Comparison of the attitudinal responses of eight-year-old children who studied science in a National Science Foundation sponsored program, "Science Curriculum Improvement Study," with responses of eight-year-old children who studied science using a textbook series, "Concepts in Science," showed no differences. However, both programs did appear to invoke a positive attitude toward science. Attitudes toward science, the scientific process, and the scientist were measured using the Projective Tests of Attitudes. (BB)
