A Study of Outcome and Cost.
Sheinfeld, Sherri N.
The third paper in a series summarizing treatment and discharge variables from a community mental health center focuses on the interrelationships among client, process, and outcome variables. Analysis of such factors as initial impairment level, treatment time, process variables, discharge variables and therapeutic outcome is said to have pointed out conclusions about treatment outcome and the following variables: average costs, number of sessions, degree of change, and treatment modality by cost. It is explained that outcome was not found to be directly related to cost, nor was the cost of varied outcomes related to treatment modality. (CL)
