The report summarizes an inservice training project for implementing a model competency-based curriculum for therapeutic recreation personnel in colleges and universities. Described are activities related to five program objectives, including identifying regional training needs, training inservice institute facilitators, and establishing and evaluating formalized communication processes for continued technical assistance and dissemination of new materials. Recommendations are made for continued inservice training opportunities and for improving coordination between 2-year and 4-year colleges and universities. (CL).
