This report describes a project developed: (1) to assess the value of a quarry as a learning resource; (2) to identify and evaluate available instructional resources; (3) to produce instructional units and materials specific to the quarry; and (4) to make recommendations for implementation and development based on survey information. The Jamesville Quarry Environmental Education program is presented as a model that is applicable to the development of other environmental education programs with industrial sites as their focus. A bibliography is included. Appendices present survey forms and summaries of survey reports. (MA)
