What Really Happened to the Class of '75? A College Experience Survey.
Tibby, Edward; And Others
Results are reported from a survey of a random sample of college-bound high school seniors, 1974-75, who took the Scholastic Aptitude Test in the 12 states that comprise the College Board's Western Region. The 935 respondents are grouped for analytic purposes according to their college enrollment history. The four categories of respondents are continuing students, two-year/four-year transfers, other transfers, and dropouts. Institutional and personal variables related to retention and attrition are identified and discussed. Results are compared with those from more extensive studies. (Author/SW)
