COED Transactions, Vol. X, No. 2, February 1978. The Analog Computer as an Instructional Tool for Elementary Differential Equations.
McLeod, Roy H.
This document describes an attempt to design a non-traditional course in which the analog computer plays a central role as a pedagogical tool. A brief introduction cites some justification for a course of this type. Various facets of the course such as the general procedure, the special materials prepared, and the methodology employed are discussed. A brief description of the problems is presented and an outline to the solution of an illustrative example is given. Finally, the experiment is summarized and some conclusions cited. (Author/GA)
