Measuring Effective Teacher Behavior in Adapted Physical Education.
Taylor, John L.; Loovis, E. Michael
Methods by which preservice physical education teachers use selected behaviors to promote handicapped student physical performance in planned skill activities are explored. The basic assumption investigated is that teacher behaviors when working with any child in physical education will have basic similarities. Discussion focuses on processes used in the study, including exploration and identification of effective teacher behaviors, development of a method for observing and recording the behaviors, and determining means to rate and evaluate the results.
