This study focuses on the problems and potentials between outdoor recreation and the environment. The areas studied include recreation on private land, along coastal areas, national parks and urban areas. All of the factors contributing to recreational demand--leisure time, education, disposable income, population growth and mobility--are forecasted to increase and will result in increased participation in recreational activities.
