Career Education in Art: A Senior High Courseguide.
Grengs, John; And Others
This curriculum guide presents fourteen student activities for use in integrating career education into senior high school art classes. The activities are written in support of five broad objectives: to develop a positive attitude toward self, to develop decision making skills, to develop interpersonal skills, to clarify the meanings of school and work, and to develop an awareness of occupational areas. The activities range from those designed to help class members get to know each other, to activities to allow students to participate in the decision making processes of grading and art project planning, to those designed to encourage students to become aware of the art-related occupations in their community. Format for each activity is as follows: statement of behavioral objective, brief overview of the activity, description of teacher and student procedures, and suggested followup. (BB)
