This document presents notes on the thoughts, wishes, problems, and ideas that came from two and a half days of discussion by leaders of twenty teachers' centers. The notes are divided into four sections, corresponding to the topics addressed: teachers' study groups, the role of the advisor, community involvement, and evaluation. In the first section the prime concerns of study groups and their members are addressed. The beginnings and initial structures of the groups, their content and growth over time, and the products which may emerge are discussed. The second section examines the role of the advisor or master teacher in a study group. People with experience in both roles, teaching in a center, and advising in a classroom, observe significant differences between them. In the third section five participants describe community participation in their centers. The final section is devoted to the question of how to evaluate a teachers' center and offers questions that may be helpful to others involved with teacher center activities. (JD)
