The organization and function of the Accrediting Commission, the bases of eligibility for evaluation and accreditation of all types of institutions, and the general classification of schools and colleges are discussed, and the fee schedule of the Accrediting Commission is given. Procedures relating to the initial applications for accreditation, institutional changes, application for reclassification, negative actions such as withholding or withdrawing of accreditation, review board for appeals, and publication of decisions are explained. Also, the evaluation criteria applicable to all institutions and to institutions in transition, and additional criteria for junior and senior colleges of business are presented. (SPG)
