Information obtained on enrollment at 138 of the 141 institutions that hold membership in the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC) is presented in this eigth annual report. Figures are based on head counts of both full-time and part-time enrollment and include extension students enrolled in courses for credit. The total enrollment for all 402 campuses represented by the 141 institutions was projected at 3,392,846. Enrollment was up exactly one percent over Fall 1976, according to reports from 353 campuses able to provide comparable data for both years. Among those 353 campuses, the enrollment of men actually dropped by 11,675 while the enrollment of women jumped by 46,044. The levels of enrollment discussed are undergraduate, first-time freshman, unclassified, first professional, and graduate. (SPG)
