Guidelines in Demonstrating the Green Circle Program.
Green Circle Program, Inc., Philadelphia, PA.
The Green Circle human relations program is designed to help elementary aged children to develop a sense of self worth and an awareness, understanding, and appreciation of human differences. In this guide for leaders/demonstrators, a basic script is suggested for the presentation of the program. Leaders are encouraged to adapt the script to the dynamic and individual needs in their groups. Flexibility is the key quality emphasized in this approach. Guidelines are offered for involving school personnel and community group leaders, developing a comfortable group atmosphere, gauging and reacting to the responses of the children. Necessary preparations for the presentation of specific Green Circle activities are outlined. (GC)
