The activities included in the field coordination and data collection phase of the Beginning Teacher Evaluation Study are described. A history of the recruitment, selection, and training of field personnel, a description of coordination efforts with teachers and school districts, a discussion of the various aspects of scheduling, and the procedures for logging-in and checking the quality of the field data are presented. Each section of the report summarizes, in sequence, the tasks required for collection of the field data, and provides supporting documents. (Author/GDC)
