Multimedia Training Packages for Low Income Parents of Preschool Children. Work Unit II. Final Report.

This is a two-volume annual report (for 1976-1977) of Work Unit II of the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory's Early Childhood Program. The main purpose of the project was to design, develop, and assess three multimedia training packages which used booklets, slides, film/videotapes, audiotapes and games to convey parenting knowledge and skills to low income parents. Described in Volume I are the program goals and goal related activities; an overview of the developmental model and process; descriptions of the products; field evaluation of the products; other related efforts; and implications and recommendations. Volume II contains extensive appendices, including content outlines of the training packages, site letters and field test agreement, cnsultant reviews, field test instrumentation for each package, materials used in a follow up study, and other program related materials.
