Differences in traditions and admission procedures of 6 ivy league schools (Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Brown) are discussed, along with how these differences affect the flow of Negro undergraduates and the subtle pressures on the Neqro student in an ivy league school. The problem of submerged talent and its relation to the ivy league schools is described. It is determined that each college possesses and applies a policy of special attention toward Negro applicants. The affect of a Negro's experience in an ivy league college on the school's ability to attract more Negroes is also discussed in qeneral and by individual school. (SPG)
