Standardization of the WISC-R Performance Scale for Deaf Children. Series T, No. 1.
Anderson, Richard J.; Sisco, Franklin H.
Discussed is the standardization process and presented are the norms for deaf children (6-17 years old) on the performance subtests of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Revised (WISC-R). Findings of the standardization study (involving 1,228 deaf Ss) are said to include the greatest deaf-hearing discrepancy on the Coding and Picture Arrangement subtests in which deaf children performed significantly below hearing children. In addition to WISC-R norm tables for deaf children between the ages of 6-0-0 and 16-11-30, appendixes include project prospectus and a sample WISC-R background questionnaire. (CL)
