Methodologies for Trainers: A Compendium of Learning Strategies.
Ax, Ellen; Kohls, Robert
This document offers instructions to trainers on the use of more than 100 learning aids, learning activities, and evaluation techniques that are helpful in working with trainees. The strategies described will be useful not only in trainer/trainee situations (which imply active participation on the part of the trainee) but also in teacher/student interactions. The items are divided into six categories: instructional methods, group techniques, simulation techniques, practical experiences, audiovisual support systems, and evaluative activities. Instructions for using the items vary in length from a paragraph (for items with which most trainers are familiar) to several pages (for less familiar items). (GW)
