Volume V of a six-volume final report (which covers the findings of a research project on policy and technology related to rehabilitation of disabled individuals) presents consensus findings of multidisciplinary experts who have dealt with specific areas of rehabilitation technology. Following a chapter on the basic concepts of the work-session conference are chapters which cover environmental change in the workplace and in the transportation system, the physical therapeutic agent and rehabilitation devices, preschool academic education and vocational education, and service delivery. Described for each of the program thrusts listed above are the following: description of target population; strategies for achieving program thrust, assumptions and axioms; objectives and performance requirements; implementation requirements; life--function analysis; affected individuals, groups, and organizations; group-discussion consequences; hierarchical and interrelationship analysis; and policy considerations. A final chapter reviews the procedures used for work-session evaluations and presents a sample evaluation questionnaire. (SBH)
