The study of regional action in nursing education in the South covers three crucial years in the history of the field, during the establishment of the Southern Regional Education Board's Council on Collegiate Education for Nursing. After an introduction to the council the report describes the arrangements made and developed for its program and related activities of the council during this period, emphasizing work in encouraging nursing research, continuing education, and expanded roles for nursing.
