Exploratory Analysis of Medical School Characteristics and Empirical Classifications of Medical Schools. Two Replications. Final Report.
McShane, Michael G.; Sherman, Charles R.
The report is one of four that describes the 1977 phase of an ongoing series of studies by the association. The purpose of the studies is to examine the interrelationships among variables and institutions based on the descriptive measures contained in the Institutional Profile System, which contains a vast array of data on medical schools describing students, faculty, curricula, facilities, finances, and other institutional characteristics. The two studies described in this report are replications of studies performed in 1976. The results of the replications were similar but not identical to earlier results. The results and the statistical measures used are discussed. Data are presented in tabular form. (MSE)
