Higher Education Enrollments: Implications for the 1980's. Topical Paper No. 8.
Parker, Garland G.
Fluctuations in higher education enrollments in the 1970's are interpreted as they may affect enrollments in the next decade. For his analysis the author draws on his own study of enrollments in four-year colleges in 1976-77 as well as other data. Some attention is given to these factors in the future: long-range planning; "endangered species" of students, administrators, and institutions; administrative considerations; full-time students; financial aid; international education; nontraditional students; and innovative programs.
