Keep America Beautiful, Inc., New York, NY.
Inappropriate receptacle placement can be a financially wasteful practice. This booklet contains tests to be conducted by volunteer community leaders and field assistants to help city officials decide the best location for street trash receptacles. There are two field tests included; one to evaluate the present position of the receptacles and another to decide where to locate additional receptacles. Sample field sheets and methods for analyzing the data are also included. (MA)
