National Longitudinal Study of the High School Class of 1972: Tabular Summary of First Followup Questionnaire Data.
Tabular summaries of the numerical responses of 21,350 individuals to the First Followup Questionnaire of the National Longitudinal Study of the High School Class of 1972 are contained in this report. These items deal primarily with survey participants' educational experiences and occupational attainments in both October 1972 and October 1973; their continuing or revised plans for education, training, and jobs; and measures of their aspirations, attitudes and opinions. Statistical summaries of the responses were weighted to provide total population values. These weighted values were tabulated for different subgroups classified by sex, race, socioeconomic status, ability, type of high school program and region; and some two-way cross-tabulations of sex and race with each of the other variables. Specifications of these classification variables and the survey form are appended. (Author/MV)
