The Princeton Cooperative School Program was part of the federally funded and sponsored Upward Bound Program designed to aid the disadvantaged poor and the low-income student to successfully complete high school and enter college. The college retention and attrition for each of the graduating classes during the years 1966 to 1975 are compared to national norms for low-income students. The college graduate rate for each class of PCSP students during this period compares favorably with national figures. Some discussion is offered regarding the type of social, emotional, and academic problems of each class as well as the problems in attempting to follow up former students; 66 of the 200 Upward Bound students (33 percent) who graduated from high school between 1969 and 1973 cannot be located. Overall the program is seen as successfully assisting high-potential low-income students. (JMF)
