Workshop Evaluation System Manual, Analysis Report Form, and Workshop Evaluation Scale.
McCallon, Earl
The "Workshop Evaluation System" comprises a manual, an evaluation scale, and a report form. The system grew out of a need for an all-purpose instrument to provide systematic and easy-to-obtain evaluation data from participants. The establishment of normative data resulted from the need for comparative information where local or regional norms were not available. The system resulted in part from a careful analysis of approximately 30 instruments that purported to measure workshop effectiveness. Content analysis methodology was used to study the basic dimensions associated with the instruments. The "Workshop Evaluation System Manual" contains normative data and information on administration of the system, scoring, and interpretation of scores. Tables display the conversions from raw scores to standard scores and from raw scores to percentile ranks. The "Workshop Evaluation Scale" gathers participant responses on seven dimensions--organization, objectives, presenter, ideas and activites, scope, beneficiality, and overall effectiveness. The "Analysis Report Form" is a convenient method for recording and comparing workshop evaluation results. Average values for each item on the evaluation scale are recorded and compared to the established norms for the scale. (Author/IRT)
